don't get it twisted.

our cuffs lay adjacent, not interlinked

our breaths may match up

but we exhale independently

preparation is engraved on all of my accessories

this was no different

and readily it stood.

the sting was there

I'll be the first to admit it

but I am not owed a thing

don't get it twisted
